Bio
An associate with RAR’s construction group, Ashley brings a broad background in civil and commercial litigation to her construction and infrastructure litigation practice. With appearances before administrative tribunals and the Ontario Superior Court, Ashley has represented municipalities, landowners, and institutional clients on various litigation and planning and development matters, including liens, amendments, and zoning issues, and has effectively advocated for clients on both sides of expropriation disputes.
Ashley advises clients at all stages of the legal process and is skilled at leading complex negotiations, discoveries, and trial proceedings. She has experience drafting appeals, hearing and motion materials, pleadings, and settlement agreements, and is skilled in analyzing contracts, by-laws, corporate records, and expert reports. In addition to her legal practice, Ashley has published on topics related to expropriation proceedings and has spoken on real estate litigation at industry events. Called to the bar in 2013, Ashley graduated third in her class at the University of Windsor (2012), where she was the recipient of the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Centennial Prize in Practice Skills and the John H. Rodd K.C. Award in Conflicts.
