Kevin Zhou is an associate lawyer in RAR’s Commercial Litigation group. He has represented institutions, corporations, and owner-operated businesses in a broad range of commercial disputes, and is known for his practical, client-focused strategies, and creative problem-solving.

Kevin helps clients navigate disputes from early assessment through resolution, including negotiated settlements and contested proceedings. His experience includes franchise, commercial leasing, breach of contract, shareholder, and insolvency-related disputes, as well as enforcement and recovery work across multiple Canadian jurisdictions. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.

Clients can expect clear, strategic advice grounded in commercial realities. Kevin is personable and highly responsive, and he stays close to the file—communicating early and often, pressure-testing options, and helping clients make cost-benefit decisions at each stage based on their objectives, constraints, and business context.

Before entering practice, Kevin developed a strong foundation in advocacy through mooting and mentorship. He was a finalist and Top Oralist in the McCarthy Tétrault Cup and represented Lincoln Alexander on its first Gale Cup moot team. He remains actively involved with the law school as a peer mentor and has previously supported student orientation, as well as served on the LASL student society
