Damon Stoddard is a senior associate lawyer at RAR Litigation, working with both the Commercial and Construction Groups.

Damon has 15 years of experience litigating, mediating, arbitrating, and negotiating settlements for construction lien claims, bond claims, contract claims, breach of trust claims, delay claims, insurance claims, libel claims, employment matters, Tarion proceedings, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, and partnership and shareholder disputes.

Damon excels at litigating complex document-intensive matters, to find innovative and practical solutions for his clients, to help them achieve their business goals.

Damon has acted on behalf of public and private owners, contractors, subcontractors, insurers, trustees, workers, and material suppliers. He also provides front-end legal advice, including contract drafting, tender review, coverage opinions, and risk mitigation strategies for his clients.

Prior to joining RAR in 2022, Damon practised at a boutique construction law firm in Toronto.

Damon regularly appears at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Commercial List in Toronto, on a wide variety of construction and commercial matters. He has also appeared at the Federal Court of Canada.
